Wednesday, August 25, 2010 was Big Brother 12 episode 21, and finally fans of the CBS show were about to find out what happened after Britney announced her Head of Household nominations on the Sunday episode. It was Brendon and Enzo that found themselves nominated, and neither appeared to be very happy that they were being targeted. The reasons that Britney gave were also extremely suspect, claiming Brendon was after her last week (when he protected her) and that Enzo needed to be nominated because he hadn’t been on the block yet.
Big Brother 12 Episode 21 Recap
After being scorned by Britney, Brendon began talking to himself again in the house, something he has often done when he finds himself upset about events. With Britney lying to him and then nominating him, it was clear that he was once again frustrated. Meanwhile, talk around the house seemed to focus on everyone trying to vote out Brendon, but there was also an undertone of what player the houseguests wanted up on the block if Brendon somehow won the Power of Veto competition.
Brendon knew that he was going to have to compete hard at the Power of Veto competition, but several other players also knew that if they wanted to control their own destiny, they needed to win to keep the nominations the same. It set up yet another Power of Veto competition that could be a game-changer for the houseguests this season.
Big Brother 12 August 25 Power of Veto Competition
This week’s Power of Veto competition resulted in a number of prizes and punishments. Those included Lane winning a call from home, Enzo having to wear a penguin suit and losing all his clothes, Hayden won $5,000 and a Hawaiian vacation, and Brendon also "winning" three weeks of Have Not status. The worst ones could be that Brendon will be handcuffed to Britney for 24 hours, will have to shave his head, and will be forced to take a chum bath every hour for 24 hours.
With all of those punishments, Brendon was able to win the Power of Veto though, so even if his stay is miserable for the next few weeks, at least he got to stay in the Big Brother house. Queue more crying from Ragan.
Big Brother 12 Third Pandora’s Box
This time Britney was the HOH who got to open Pandora’s Box (which she did) and she got stuck in there with former cast member Jessie while all the other houseguests (even the Have Nots) got to enjoy a nice BBQ.
Big Brother 12 August 25 Power of Veto Ceremony
As could be predicted, Brendon decided to take himself off the block, meaning that HOH Britney had to nominate a replacement. Britney’s selection was Matt, meaning that either Matt or Enzo will be going home first on the Thursday, August 26 episode of Big Brother 12.
Big Brother 12 Double Eviction
On the Thursday, August 26 episode of Big Brother 12, they will be doing a double eviction. That means someone gets evicted right away, and then they do a quick Head of Household competition to decide who the new nominees will be. At the end of the episode will be yet another HOH competition to decide the leader of the house for the next week.
